The disk images are identical to ones in TOSEC/planetemu. I tried many different configurations, but still get a crash after beating the first boss.

These are the images I leeched back in the day. Probably a bad crack then.

Yes, DCS version works fine but I'm sure you know that. :P

StingRay, did you have those DMSes for a long time, or were they on a CD, or from a still active BBS? I've taken a sudden interest in really going 'old-skool'.

Curious, was that a beta you used as the Hudson logo is missing and it's PAL locked, which the final isn't?

It was a pre-production master, it originally did have the Factor 5 logo but not the Hudson Soft one, other than that, its final and 100%

It was 'ahem' borrowed from a computer show from the Hudson Soft stand.

And now we need a working WHDLoad patch. Wepl can't find the problems for the random hardware crashes/lockups atm.

You completed the whole game with it?

Edit: Nope, doesn't work here with WHDLoad 16.9. The game still crashes after the Factor 5 Logo. It runs in WHDLoad 16.8, but it crashes randomly in World 1 or 2.

on my 68030, it works flawlessly. But on my 68020, i get an autovec error just after the factor 5 logo. To remove it, i have used noautovec, and hence the problem is no more.
I use Whdload 16.9 btw.

Heh, I still have a borrowed Wings manual from Cinemaware's booth.
