RoboCop 3 cheat mode information is incorrect and incomplete!

This is wrong too! Firstly, it is "MY FRIEND BILLY" and secondly it doesn't enable any cheat mode, it just displays the limerick, nothing else!


In addition to that there are more (cheat) keys that are checked if right shift is pressed, these are:

TENNIS - displays a hidden message

GARETH - enables "system cheat" and displays a message, despite the message saying system cheat it is a less powerful cheat than the "THE DIDY MEN" one, I think it only gives unlimited energy, didn't check thoroughly yet. It's also only available in the original dongle protected version of the game, in the manual protected versions this cheat code is not checked anymore.

CHEATMODE OFF - disables the cheat mode

BANDASNATCH - enables cheat mode (same as "THE DIDY MEN") and displays a message.

If I remember correctly, BANDASNATCH was the handle of one of the coders (looking at HOL I think David Dixon...). He was one of the first UK coders to do filled vectors 'back in the day', in the group T.H.R.
Groupmate TURBO SLUG (Jamie Cansdale) also worked on the game.

Turbo slug also worked on f29 Retaliator, hence the comment in the code saying "qtx where are you now?"

Even I can't fix it. The FTP that I uploaded the cheats to has been deactivated. Until RCK codes the cheat editor screen we can't update anything.

Thanks - fixed! Well, in theory anyway - "correcting" the weblink has revealed another HOL migration bug. Cody will be so happy!!

Not quite fixed. Link is still broken

It sounds like Cody was using redirects via .htaccess (mod_rewrite). The migration to nginx killed that because it doesn't use mod_rewrite by default. It does have a rewrite module but I've never used it. The correct nginx way is "location" blocks in the nginx conf file that define how URLs are handled. We might need RCK here because he's likely the only one with access to those files.

Or it could be something else altogether and I rambled for nothing

It is something else! Part of the migration was converting mod_rewrite to the nginx style.

Another bug I just noticed is the addition of many backslashes on that cheat page, such as \\". I don't remember them being there before. Problem with your addslashes () code?
