Razer Phone 2 for Amiga emulation
Just got a Razer Phone 2, which isn't a cheap device, but I can confirm that its Ultramotion 120hz screen can be configured for UAE4ARM for 50 hz through the Game Booster app. It also has good quality stereo speakers. Just great!

I thought that only let you choose between 60, 90 and 120 Hz?

Fortunately no, the Game Booster section of the Settings menu also lets you assign 50hz and 40hz refresh rates for individual apps!

Unless Misclegend is right and the Xiaomi Mi 9 does indeed have 50Hz, too. The Xiaomi's 1080p-screen is better for integer-scaling of Amiga games than the Razer 1440p-screen (but maybe you don't need integer scaling with the Razer's high DPI). I'd like to see some proof that it really can do 50Hz though. Maybe Rayman is really sped up to 60Hz in ePSXe? I have a Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Is it maybe 50Hz-capable, too? Quote:

Well, UAE4ARM is decent enough for me and it seems to run everything at full speed on the Razer 2.
Amiberry might be more accurate but the Rpi 3b+ doesn't run demanding games at full speed. There is also PUAE ín Retroarch for Android. Last edited by endre1952; 07 December 2019 at 17:54. |

in epxse you can activate the fps count and says 50/50 in rayman and in all pal games you can try rayman on your xiaomi to test it, even you do not need to play the game , just start the game and watch all the scenes and demos from different levels |

Tested Symphony of the Night with ePSXe on Xiaomi Mi Max 2 now:
PAL version shows 50/50 fps but doesn't scroll smoothly, NTSC version shows 60/60 fps and is smooth. Not gonna buy a Mi9 to find out if it supports 50Hz. Maybe I'll get a used Razer Phone 2 at some point. |

On the topic of Android, you can stream games at 50hz from your PC (running FS-UAE or Winuae) to an Nvidia Shield TV hooked up to a TV or projector. This allows for couch gaming.
If interested, I have set out the steps required below. First step is to download from the Play store on the Nvidia Shield TV an app called 'TV HZ' which allows you to set the TV display at 50 hz. Second step is to download from the Play store an app called 'Parsec' which allows you to stream games from your PC to your Nvidia Shield TV. Parsec software also needs to be installed on your PC. Once installed, third step is to ensure your Nvidia Shield TV display is running at 50 hz. Fourth step is to commence streaming in Parsec from the PC to Nvidia Shield TV and to ensure your PC display is set at 50 hz. Fifth step is to configure your gamepad controls within Parsec on the Nvidia Shield TV by pressing Ctrl-Shift-M on a bluetooth keyboard connected to the Nvidia Shield TV and following the menu prompts. Sixth step is to launch an Amiga game on your PC in FS-UAE or Winuae which will be streamed to your Nvidia Shield TV in the Parsec app. I use a Streamdeck app on my iPhone to remotely launch the games at the push of a button. In FS-UAE you can check if the games are synced at 50 fps by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F10. Last edited by twenty90seven; 06 January 2020 at 09:47. |

Some good info here! I took a long look at the first Razer Phone but in the end decided 'I have a phone' if you know what I mean.
I'll try Game Booster, maybe 50 Hz works on more phones? If we report OS type (e.g. Samsung, Huawei, Google Android OS) maybe we'll find it's possible. Which one? I find 8 on the first page of a search in Play Store! |

"Razer game booster' by Razer inc., but I think it only shows up in the Play Store if you have a Razer phone. It doesn't show up on my Samsung phone.

The APK can be found easily with Google though. Maybe that works?
edit: Of course it doesn't. "Parsing error" when trying to install. Last edited by john4p; 11 January 2020 at 14:44. |

I was thinking about the new upcoming Alienware UFO? Its basically a PC in a portable Switch type format:
It would be great for emulation on the go and hopefully pack enough power. |

Here's the direct link to the app: Razer Game Booster
Says not compatible on my Nexus 6P. From the same hardware and the same (base) OS across the board, another app should likely be able to do this, if the Razer app can do it. But the best way is if the authors of UAE-Android find out how it's done and implement it. It's a bit exotic to set a screen mode on phones, but it could present a list of enumerated modes and another app could create it if it's not on the list. Techically, it should be possible. Linux-alikes give good control over this. Last edited by Photon; 15 January 2020 at 18:29. |

There is the TVHZ app for Android tv boxes, but it only offers one option, 60hz mode, for standard phones. It tried it on my Razer Phone 2 and it offers a few modes, including 50hz, but I didn't test it any further.

The Poco X3 Android phone also handles the 50hz refresh rate.
