Mapping custom keys to joystick
Hi all,
Recently purchased the plus edition of AF and am struggling to see how to play games with the keys I want. At the moment I've got the joystick matching my PC keyboard but the defaults are keys I can't get used to* - WASD & cursors. Any ideas? I've done some searches but everything so far seems to be winUAE specific, giving options I don't have seem to have access to in AF. Sorry in advance if I've missed something and it's a case of RTFFAQ. Cheers * I simply can't play games like Katakis and R-Type with anything other than QAOP-Spc! (or the kingkeys as we used to call them :-)) |

You could try this, (I haven't tried it myself)
If you haven't already, enable F12 to bring up the WinUAE GUI. Start the game and press F12. open the game ports panel & remap the custom mapping or open the input panel and choose configuration 1-4 and remap the keys. If it doesn't work then raise a ticket with Cloanto. |

Beauty! Ta Arnie, well explained, that did the trick.
Hmm Katakis is still rather hard even with proper keys now! Just reached the two orange guys on Level 1. Top fun though. Thank again. |
