Worst joystick you've ever encountered

I hated my 90's Thrustmaster joystick for DOS / Win95 for its program for calibration. By the time joystick is calibrated, I lose interest in playing game.

For me the worst joystick ever is the Atari CX40. Not because it's got the worst ergonomics (although any joystick you have to hold that is square doesn't know how a hand works) or even the most difficult to repair. What makes it the worst is the dozens (not an exaggeration) I fixed over the years and the dozens (again not an exaggeration) I bought replacing them. I have several retro joysticks in my collection but not one CX40 as it may set off PTSD.

Probably the controller on the cdi 470/05 that arrived today but it does look good
At least I can now play Rise of the Robots on CD! as my CDTV attempts failed (I will try again in the future)
The video CD's a great though - the quality is surprising as I was always told it was terrible

and now with CDTV, CDi, Commodore plus4, dreamcast and mega-cd - i have a good collection of 'misunderstood' systems so lots of rubbish games as well as a few surprising gems

Off to burn mad dog mcree for my cdi and maybe get some play time of psyco killer on cdtv with another awful controller!

worst? whichever piece of rubbish plastic came with the C16 as default, its handle broke pretty much every time with regular normal use, think i broke mine on formula one racing and roboknight at least 2-3x.

I remember it to be stiff as heck and a very bad gaming experience overall. But still very iconic and I should purchase one just for the nostalgia.
