Calculate Chip Ram Used

It might be a stupid question but if I want to calculable the amount of chip ram used, do I literally add up all the images I load and any mod files?

Or is there a command that tells me how much ram is available?

Just getting a bit worried that I am running out of chip ram in Target Renegade. Don't really want to cut anything or load too much in if I can avoid it.

Thanks.

Have 1142672 left so might be a 2 meg game and certainly won't run on 512mb A500!

May look at optimising the graphics at a later stage but for now, I just want to get on with programming and at least it looks like it will work with 2 meg of chip ram.

Now I know this exists, I found this thread which explains the function a little more (just in case someone else needs it):
