The diag Roms work with all CPUs. |

I’ve had a chat with the chap I bought the A3660 from and he’s got the equipment and experience to take a look at my setup so I’ll be sending it off to him to take a look. Fingers crossed he can find the issue and fix it.
Will update this once the issue is identified and fixed. |

No not yet, traces are being checked and diagnostics being run. Not sure how hopeful I am that this will come back ok.

I’d be surprised if it can’t be sorted. It’s got at least some life in it, so that’s half the battle won.

Quick update - looks like corroded super buster slot and the chip itself is dead. The chap looking at it has cleaned it up and put on a new socket and tried with his super buster and it seems to be booting with the 68030 and 68060 CPU’s!
Still problems detecting fast ram and the bigram plus so he’s looking at those next. |

So another quick update - Everything works fine when it's not got an expansion card inserted, but when one is used after a few minutes the system hangs....so that's now being looked into.

Probably stored on it's side during the battery leak era.
Still, it's good to hear there has been some good progress in getting some magic smoke back into her fella. |

So it's on its way back to me now, all sorted so looking forward to getting it setup again.
I'll be honest I didn't think I'd get it back, so I've spent the last couple of weeks resurrecting a broken A4000 (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=102833) and building a new one (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...00#post1409700). Still can't wait for my original A4000 to come home though |

Thanks mate, yea just has some time and thought I’d bite the bullet.
I’m ending up with 3 A4000’s now though. - this repaired one - the one I’ve repaired - the new one I’ve built |

Nice to hear it was fixed and is back up and running for you--quite an ordeal tracking down the issue(s)!
My view is that you can't have too many Amigas. I personally have two; an A4000 and an A3000--both recapped and repaired thanks to Anthony Hoffman and an Amiga friend in Illinois, then various upgrades, and running quite well. Eagerly waiting for the CS Labs Warp 4060 to make its debut this year. Last edited by gdonner; 26 June 2020 at 02:46. |

Yea I bet that’s going to be a beast. I watched Dan Wood’s 1260 vid on YouTube this week and it’s impressive.....expensive, but impressive.
I’ve put two of the boards back in their case and deliberation what to do with the third. I’ve found someone selling just the 4000D case for £320, which seems a lot. Man this Amiga lark isn’t cheap is it haha My ZZ9000 arrived this weekend so I’m going to have a play around with that. Hoping that plus an A3660 will be a game changer. |
