Turkish E-bay amiga seller?
Hi all i've been thinking a fair bit lately on what i want my final amiga 1200 set up to be and where i want it to reside in the house, i have been moving along nicely and now only really need the following> 17" lcd tv, larger psu and an 030 card
....but back to the question posed on the thread> There was a genleman on e-bay who has listed two amiga's in the past year both converted with a black or silver case with keys done to match, i have not seen any of late but was very really impressed with the quality of work and wondered if anyone else had spoke to him through e -bay or know's his username, also wondering if anyone else would do this as a request ? Thanks and any info is appreciated Chris |

Thats freaky! I was thinking of painting my A1200 Black too! I have even bought a spare A1200 case just incase I decide to do it (and also because I plan to make several "new holes" in it for various bits). I daren't say this last bit.... but well... ok... I was going to use the keys off my CDTV keyboard too.. IF I *can't* fix it (I'll probably get bollocked for saying that by someone.. hehee). I found some plastic paint called Krylon that apparently holds well on plastic and is "scratch proof" after 7 days of applying.
It was all just a thought and since you have a very similar idea I decided to share the idea. I too wonder how the guy did this.. If its possible to apply this colour change to the original parts then it would save me pulling them off my CDTV keyboard, if I ever dare that is Do you have any pics of these Amigas Chris? |

The quality of these two amazed me he supplied them on 3.0 roms with a small 2.5 ide and workbench installed, i've seen others but not as well done.
I'm sure from knowledge one went to a buyer in france and the feedback he left spoke for it self! and mmhhh i will have to check on pics i may have saved some to my home pc so will check when there later Chris Last edited by ck1200; 01 June 2010 at 23:58. Reason: spelling :/ |

I must agree i dont like the silver finish or black keyboard to match much...but thought the quality of paint was ok?, the same chap also had a all black 1200 that was allot more pleasing to the eyes lol, just did not have funds at the time

Well I think it looks quite good! The only thing is the strange finish on the middle keys, the black ones look great! I think all black would be better, but interesting with the silver.

Yeah the keys look a little odd. If it was all silver (including the keys) it would probably look quite good.

I'd agree the style chosen for the design is not for me but i was impressed by the finish and quality of paint, the one sold as all black though was much nicer !!
...but both cropped up for sale around the same time and sold quickly just wondered if anyone else has bought anything amiga related from him though ? |
