using cocolino+PC mouse

hello,

after 10 years of great use, my wizard mouse had his left button not working great.(exchange left switch with middle switch could be possible ???)

I would like to change this mouse by cocolino (or other same hardware) and a PC mouse with 5 buttons and scrollwheel) see elbox site.

I would like to have some explanations of users of this same hardware mainly to know if there is problem with cocolino like:

- pointer jump, slow or too fast or suddenly freeze.
- programs that don't support the PC mouse.
- immediately found when the amigo boot and could be used to see the early startup sequence.
- Or simply of work great and I'm happy

bye

I have these in combination with a KVM switch. But no problems if the mouse is connected directly to the Cocolino.

Not possible. The Cocolino turns the PC mouse into an Amiga mouse. Even games which bang the hardware directly work with it.

There are some problems with modern games (like Quake or Heretic2), though, if the scroll wheel driver is running. But you can stop the driver before you run the game and restart it afterwards.

Yes, certainly. See above.

Well, I am not a gfx artist, so I might be satisfied where others aren't. All those PS/2->Amiga converters are said to draw stairways instead of diagonal lines and to move at least two or three pixels in high resolutions. I never noticed this. I usually use the mouse to click on gadgets. Every now and then I use PPaint to cut brushes out of bigger pictures and I never had problems to position the mouse pixel-exact.

However, this do-it-yourself converter is said to be better than all the commercial ones: http://www.aminet.net/search.php?query=ps2m&path=hard
