ADFs

Is there a way I can run ADFs as though they were floppies on my A1200? I know I can use ramdrive, but it doesn't work for NDOS disks

The Floppy emulator - hardware device to replace your floppy drive and run ADFs from CF, there were two of these projects I dont know if they ever got finished.
Or a very basic WHD slave like the Workbench 1.2 slave but this wont run much.
I wonder if Rad disk could boot from the bootblock - probably not.

I was thinking something like WHDLoad - but set up to be able to run ADFs of my choosing (preferably with the kickstart of my choosing)...

I don't want hardware..

I have 1000's of ADFs - I really cant be bothered to copy em to floppy to play - also my A1200 doesn't like disk swaps

I do have easily removable CF hard disk (Modded a slot into the back of my A1200) and a PCMCIA CF adaptor though. Will have 030 accelerator + 32Mb RAM by the end of the week!

The problem is games will seek the floppy drive and will need persific patching.

You luckie boy - 030 and 32mb ram - just use WHDload - this will run all the games you need from HD.

But most of my games are not on WHDLoad - I would have to download them all again Also I like the cracktros when you load a disk...

What is E-UAE for amiga 68k like performance wise?

No chance with E-Uae on an 030 - there are some pre WHDload installs that have cractros or if the cracktro can be download it can be run before the WHDload game.
You can try your luck with the Workbench 1.2 WHD install but your probably only see the cracktro and the game wont load.

All depends on the game but sorry theres no real way to do this.
