Question Virtual GP & Starfighter

I've just purchased these 2 CD games off Ebay but I cant get either of them to run VGP get's as far as the intro which seem to run (I get some distorted sound but a Black screen) but if I left click to carry on loading the game I get a "Please wait loading" type screen which just freezes, my miggy just seems to hang any idea's ?
With Starfighter It seems to install ok but I dont think it actually is! while installing you get a message saying "ready to install, will take about 12mins on a fast computer & 20mins + on slower comps" but then it sticks some files on the hd for about 5 seconds then tells me every thing is installed and ready to go.....but when you try to run the game I get a "file not found" message! By the way Gp is supposed to be able to run directly fron CD but the end result is still the same
My System is
A1200 with an 030 Accelerator + 8meg simm
800meg hard drive
2X CD Rom

Thanx

I guess the CDs are just BROKEN.
CDs should be in ISO9660 format, this means they're readable on a PC without problems. I suggest copying the contents of the CD to a temporary folder on your PC HD and check if there are any errors.
If there are, fingers crossed that the seller is an honest person and he's gonna give back your money you paid for these ..... goods!

the most common reason for "file not found" for installing starfighter is that you actually nominated to install it to a folder/drawer called "starfighter" which confuses the game.

Install it to "Star" instead and it will work.

Hi all ! , a old threat but I just wanted to test
Starfighter on my CD32 tf328 but have the
Same message «file not found» , that’s a
Pity cause they are rare space sim on Amiga.
Any idea ?

Édit : i managed to have the intro screen by make a copy
Of all the files from the cd ! But now it stop and asking
What is my system disc or boot disc , I said dh0 , it reboot
And hang on a workbench screen with error ,,,,

Edit 2. : I found some explanation from the author
Of the game «Manually running the game:
==========================
Regarding the DH0: issue - I will have to look for a way around that - but first - try just copy the entire contents of the cd to the hard drive (not in a folder called Star - call it SpaceGame or something) and then take the cd away - that's basically an install. Then try running the game from there. It should be "StarFighter/executable" I think - I'll have to dig out the miggy to check so that one is going to take me some time to troubleshoot for you - please be patient and email me if you want for progress.«

But it still no work ! This game seems bugged, the author post
Some patches on Amiga.org but the links are DeAD .

So i solved myself lol ! , i have finally founded some patches and i had to put in C directory of workbench the "movesys.lha" file (error message), the cut scenes are cool but the game is average, that's sad, it could do so much better.

if someone interested for the patches, the explanation is include:

"movesys.lha" file asked by the program when rebooting :
