Key remapping for fs-uae-launcher

Hello,

I currently use fs-uae-launcher for playing my whdload games on a arcade cab.
Command line launched by my frontend is (under win7) is :
fs-uae-launcher.exe example.lha

it works very well.
I just try to remap some default keys (for example change the fire button/right ctrl with left ctrl), but I can't find a way.

I think it should be easy to do, but I don't find. I saw in doc that I can use something like this :
action_joy_1_fire_button=keyboard_key_lctrl

but where can I put this line ?

Open the launcher, go to Settings/Advanced and write:
keyboard_key_lctrl=action_joy_1_fire_button

This should do the trick, i haven't tested this.

Hello guys,
Is there a way to map a joystick function to perform multiple actions?
I would like to make the joystick_port_0_up to perform all 3 functions at the same time

action_key_cursor_up
action_joy_0_up
action_mouse_0_up

If a method exists, this would also be useful for me to map a certain key for diagonal joystick movements.

@ztronzo No, only one action per input event. But for diagonal movement, there are corresponding actions (e.g. action_joy_0_left_up). Not tested though.

I am trying to create an alternative joystick movement to toggle between a user perspective and in-game character perspective.
This may be useful for games with tilted view, such as Total Football, Heimdall, Skeleton Krew etc.

#working part
joystick_port_2_mode=joystick
joystick_port_2_up=action_joy_1_left_up
joystick_port_2_down=action_joy_1_right_down
joystick_port_2_left=action_joy_1_left_down
joystick_port_2_right=action_joy_1_right_up
joystick_port_2_primary=action_joy_1_fire_button

I am currently trying the following options to make it fully functional but unfortunately the options below don't seem to exist..
joystick_port_2_left_up=action_joy_1_left
joystick_port_2_right_up=action_joy_1_up
joystick_port_2_left_down=action_joy_1_down
joystick_port_2_right_down=action_joy_1_right

As these settings may also effect the options menu (in normal view) I guess it would require a toggle for them...
is there an option to swap controllers using a shortcut?? for example: swap the joysticks mode and controller using a predefined hotkey of 2 ports?
That way I can toggle my joystick between Port_1 (being normal) and Port_2 (which would be defined for the perspective movement)
(if this option exists, it could also help to toggle between CD32 joystick modes)


Another solution would be to hack the game so it only effects the gameplay and not the menus... but the way I modify games would only be selectable on game start...
Not sure if this already exists in FS-UAE, maybe this could be a good future enhancement for FS-UAE to be able to modify a Amiga memory location with specific bytes using just a hotkey? (example: keyboard_key_ctrl_l=MemHack 8D5DA 4e71 4e71 4e71 4e71)

This may be very useful for cheating or toggling in-game options for people who know the memory location of what is needed to be changed
