I think you will be pleased with the final outcome, you can also keep an eye on updates from Mikes blog
https://www.mike-stirling.com/2020/0...the-amiga-500/ he monitors comments and will answer as time permits. There are quite a few more features that are going to be implemented and i think it will definitely be considered a budget price but with more than just budget features. Progress in this is at an amazing speed, please bear in mind also that Mike is juggling his other things that need attending to. the A500 is first on the list Quote:

Tell him to ignore the Vampire team/fans commenting on his work, they're very... "defensive" of it.
I think it's great what he's developing, the TG68 might not be the best core but it's a great building block for this kind of project and avoids having to build that part from scratch too. |

May I suggest to name the core "Zeus" and the accelerator "Buffy"?
On a serious note, awesome project, congrats! |

Yeah, really interesting project. For me it definitely looks like an FPGA-accelerator worth getting

request for a working CDTV
We are going to be testing the different Amiga models soon and we are looking for a working CDTV to buy (lending is not a good option in case it gets damaged).
Anyone who has one or knows of one let me know via pmsg. The CDTV will be destined for the UK so i dont think the shipping would be much as most of them are in Europe anyway. |

Zeus as you say was used. Prometheus is used. Persephone is used. Mercury is used. Apollo is used, twice! Pick a team name, then something in a sequence if there's going to be more than one. Off the top of my head stuff that hasn't been used for team names or accelerators: Miley Cyrus Lemonparty How about bird names: Osprey Eagle Oops used Falcon Oops used Hawk Oops used Ok bird names are out. Kraken? There's a good one go with that. Bugbear? Illithid? |

KALLIOPE (Calliope) was the eldest of the Mousai (Muses), the goddesses of music, song and dance. She was also the goddess of eloquence, who bestowed her gift on kings and princes.

On that topic, may I suggest the name Harpia after the coolest/biggest bird on the planet, the Harpy Eagle (Harpia Harpyja). A real predator and it feeds on sloths (amongst others) so you can call the Second Edition the Sloth Killer Edition when "Phone Me Now" has been reached Would also allow for a nice silkscreen print on the PCB with that eagle on there too. Another suggestion since Fire seems to be popular in names on Accelerator cards these days, why not the name Spitfire. Not that Terrible of a suggestion right I think people still argue if the SF was better than the german Messerschmitt Well, there you go...and then you have all the versioning already sorted for you Mk I Mk II...Mk IX etc. Oh, and Kraken is taken. It is a cryptocurrency exchange. My two cents -jb |
