The slowdown/flickering in the sewers is a very nasty bug.. makes the game unplayable. Can anybody confirm this happen on real hardware?

I get slow down at many points, if anything it makes the game easier. I'm not entirely sure what people mean by the flickering, maybe someone might upload a video showing it?

I'm using fs-UAE, emulating a basic a500.

No flickering for me in the sewers on my A1200/060 but certainly a fair bit of slowdown when it starts to get busy. I only got to 3-2 so can't comment beyond that, though.

Quite pleased with this. No lives lost until 3-2 and a tactical power-up related error did for me - I didn't leave myself with a spare shield ready and promptly died. Lots of times.

Hopefully these will be the points that win EAB the round.

Still not one of my favourite games, once you die you lose most of your power ups and then get overwhelmed by the baddies as you then have insufficient power ups to beat them. If it wasn't for that I would rate this game more highly, as certainly the visuals are great.

My lowly score: 14,890

Yeah one you loose a life or two that's it. Takes a lot of learning the levels and restarts

And it's all over. That was certainly an eventful three weeks so let's make sense of some of the chaos...

A comfortable first place with a textbook display is john4p, gaining his first gold medal of the season and top spot in the still-embryonic standings.

LinesMachine carried on his good form of last year by clinching a very respectable second place.

Capehorn grabbed the final podium position in the final hours of the round.

Incidentally, capehorn's effort also helped to swing the team average EAB's way after an exceptionally tight round - just before this, Lemon was leading by a few hundred points or so. EAB now take a 2-0 lead for the season.

And finally... with 25 players altogether, this has become the best-attended round ever, beating the previous record of 24 (for Robocod) which stood for just over five years. Nice work.

The first double round of the season is about to begin so sit tight...
