OS3.5 or 3.9 for WinUAE?

Hi guys,

What's the best OS you reckonwhen using WinUAE? At the moment I have 3.9 but I find its a bit slow. Will 3.5 be a it quicker and is there a great difference between the two?

How did you test OS 3.5 vs OS 3.9?

OS 3.9 probably has a bit more overhead, but it's worth it.

Either way, both 3.5 and 3.9 work well in WinUAE.

I'm running WinUAE + AOS3.9 + AmiKit and it's very smooth.

Ah, I haven't tested them both. I only have 3.9 installed but I was just ondering if it would be beter to install 3.5 nstead.

If WinUAE is slow, then it's your configuration, not the OS. On WinUAE there is no difference between 3.9, 3.5 or 3.1. Everything runs incredibly fast.

Use the latest WinUAE (1.5.3), select "UAE expanded configuration" from the Quickstart menu, increase RAM to convenient settings (for example 8 MB Chip, 256 MB Z3 and 32 MB RTG), then install OS 3.9 onto a HDF and install Picasso96 and AHI with appropiate drivers for UAE. It will run unbelievable fast compared to a real Amiga.

I might have to try this. Run my own little Ami-environment with Mod and image-editing.
