Battle Isle/History Line - 2 player battle through the mail

I am looking for some Battle Isle/History Line fan who is willing to play with me in 2 player mode. The game looks this way:

1. The first player makes his/her turn, saves the game and sends the savegame file through the e-mail to the second player.
2. The second player loads the savegame and makes his/her turn.
3. The second player changes turns, makes his/her turn, saves the game and sends the savegame file through the e-mail to the first player.
4. The first player loads the savegame and makes his/her turn, changes turns, makes his/her turn and so on...

In the past I have practised this with one person and it is good fun. You don't need to make very constant exchange of files. Once per day is ok.

I guess you need to find someone who is at the same moment in the net. My way is that you are independent.

I'm probably missing something important here but why not just use save states and the e-mail the file to each other?

The problem you are missing is that I play on Amiga not WinUAE . Save states are available under emulation. But hey... what is the difference between sending save state and savegame file? None. It is only the matter of format. So your question basically covers my needs. You need to send a file which should be compatible both ways. As far as on real Amiga there is no way you can use save states, players need to send themselves savegame files.

I don't like this game, but your idea is really clever and I like it. Hope you'll find someone to play with.

Definitely missed that part... Actually you didn't mention playing only using a real Amiga

Yup, not using "snail" mail will definitely save you time and money

I agree but you need to have time exactly in the same moment as the other person. This is where I might fail
