ibrowse 2.4 error

I'm attempting to use IBrowse 2.4 demo. I've installed MUI 3.8, and AmiSSL 3.6. I'm using bsdsocket.library emulation. AmigaOS 3.9. 68060 install of IBrowse.

When I start IBrowse, it loads the default local page, and I immediately get an error.

"Software Failure"
IBrowseNetwork
Program failed (error #8000000B).
Wait for disk activity to finish.
[Suspend] [Reboot]

I'm then able to sometimes load one more page. But usually see another IBrowse Error "Network error: Connection timed out". But then, it gets stuck, and I have to click suspend. If I click suspend, IBrowse hangs, and I can't close it.

Anyone seen this one before, or have any ideas.

Thanks,

Hmm. Do you have in your Libs folder the 68040.library. 68040new.library and 68060.library?

I only have 68040.library. Is MMULib.lha (ver 43.6) the package I need? I'm at work, so I can't test it. WinUAE crashes if I try to run it under Windows Remote Desktop, to test.

Thanks,

MMUlib is the wrong package.
The librarys you need you will find in the temporary zone of my server.

Well don't post it then... surely you know you can't request something that's still being sold? If you want it, go and buy it.

According to their website @ http://www.ibrowse-dev.net/

"IBrowse 2.4 is temporarily unavailable for purchase. Apologies for any inconvenience."

A quick check of the wayback machine shows the page has been that way since May 18th.

I hope my reply wasn't misconstrued. Anyone have insight into why they have "temporarily" stopped selling this, over the past few months?

Regards,

Iospirit sold Ibrowse until April this year I think. They have
completely stopped selling amiga software

Its a strange situation, surely they could make some money by having
it for sale lol )

Is it gonna be picked up by someone else then, or is that it for IBrowse?

IBrowse should be open sourced and anyone with programming skills still supporting Amiga should get involved in making it the perfect browser in my opinion.

The IBrowse website says it's temporarily unavailable, so presumably they'll strike up a deal with a new distributor. IBrowse 3.0 is supposedly being worked on at present too. Hopefully, they'll choose another reputable and reliable Amiga dealer like AmigaKit and start selling IBrowse again real soon, as obviously some people are still interested in buying it.

Little OT, but if one uses 68060, what else do you need than 68060.library and (dummy/redirecting) 68040.library? What use is the 68040new.library?

If you happen to change accelerator everything should work with that setup (P5-wise at least).
