Hi, I am Toni Galvez.
Hi all,
I am Toni Galvez, I am a pixel artist/SFX artist, I had an Amiga since 1991, was the computer I learned to make graphics, I am a very Amiga fan. Now I know all the platforms, japanese games are very good, I want to carry some to Amiga. I started making games in 1994 and I have 29 comercial games in my career. I started making graphics/sound for games for PC (using Amiga to make graphics and sound), on 1999 I worked on Gameboy Color games (Turok 3, Tintin, UEFA 2000, Radikal Bikers) and GBA game (Asterix & Cleopatra). Later I moved to PC, PSP and mobile industry. Now I am working on Joyco Games with two friends (Rhino and MAC) we are part of the Batman Group in the demoscene. http://joycogames.com/ I always wanted to make an Amiga game, but here in my city I do not found any serious Amiga coder. I hope to help someone to make his game, making some graphics for him. I have good skills converting graphics from arcade or other systems to Amiga. Welcome. A space shooter is a good idea. Something with nice simple mechanics and good graphics perhaps. I say simple mechanics because I have simplified the mechanics in my unity game recently. Overly complex ideas get complicated fast. Fixed rules conflicting with other rules etc.

Hola, saludos desde miarmalandia!
Can I ask what was your handle/nick? I bought many things in BatmanĀ“s shop. Maybe I knew you. Also, If you can, please, ask the old Batman Group members about the EXPO 92 demo. It was the very first thing I saw on a MAIL SOFT store (and made me to buy my A600). It would be the best "regalo de reyes" (xmas gift) I could have welcome aboard dude, If you need some musician/musics let me know |

Actually i am looking for a gfx guy but it's not for an arcade game. My way is a mix between rpg and strategy, tile-based (think of Civilization with bits of Ultima in it).
I need land and indoor tiles, as well as units and probably character portraits. Well, a lot of things. Don't hesitate to PM me if you're interested. |

Some more details about my interests:
I like to develop for Amiga 500 (for floppy, hard disc or CF cards on aca500). I hate when a game uses only sound effects or only music, I like both sound at once, 3 channels for music and 1 for sound effects, if you want to make 4 channel music, I preffer to remove bass sound when a sound effect needs to work. I preffer to use 16 colors on good speed and smooth movements than 32 colors on slow motion (this not mean I hate 32 colors, some games accept 32 colors, some not). I like the hardware sprites use for the main character and bullets. I like the Blitz Basic and ASM power, I do not like AMOS. |
