toki

I have little graphics bugs with Toki.

( with vertical scrolling or vertically moving objects )

They appear with my transferred ( defjam +3 corsair) copy and with

Toki (1991)(Ocean)[cr Defjam][t +4 Setrox].zip from tosec.

And also this one crashes ( while loading level 3 ) - it's probably not 100 % ok - with the same config of mine.

Screenshot: graphics bugs appear for example here but it's hard to shot the gfx bugs ( they simply don't appear in the shot )
I have saved to avi ( here they are saved ) but i don't know how to save an image from a frame.

Eek ARGHH!

OMG...

well, I just test-played the Defjam/Setrox version. Since this game is quite hard, I played with unlimited lives...

I had FIVE RANDOM CRASHES with WinUAE 0.8.22 R3 (you absolutely can't foresee them, all of a sudden the picture turns to something undefinable and everything freezes --- after that, it gurus!). Then, I switched to 0.8.17 R3 and only half the amount of crashes occurred --- but the game is still unplayable because no one always wants to start the level from the beginning after a crash.
This image seems quite knackered!

[EDIT] now I'm playing the Defjam/Defjam version - and no crashes anymore! I've just played it 'til the end - great version! (in the zone)

@mtb: could you please upload your Defjam/Corsair version?
Thanks.

@everybody: could anyone upload a HD-fixed version, please? I want to test how the game behaves in a HD-fixed version.

Exclamation

You're correct, the graphics aren't O.K. at this point.
However, it's not certain that it doesn't happen on the real thing too. (Remember that tons of graphic bugs in Second Samurai. )

That would be real kind of you.
Christ, this monkey does really look somewhat feather-brained on the screenshot, doesn't it?

Thanks...

Hmmm...

That seems to be an alternative version of
Toki (1991)(Ocean)[cr Defjam][t +3 Defjam].zip

Cracked and trained by Defjam, I got that already, the 'Corsair' has no special meaning here.

It was pretty hard to download the file, without download manager I couldn't because it didn't stop at 747 KB, but kept loading and loading (Bug?)

I have just obtained for nothing a boxed 500 in really good condition and i have tried toki, the disk where the adf i uploaded a lot of time ago comes from.

I have to say that on the real amiga the problem doen't appear, it's a little problem of winuae ( i think i have tried with r8, not with the last version but i don't think it has disappeared ).

Question

Does "cycle-exact" option do any good on it?

Thank you,

i have discovered that with cycle exact option it works fine . Immediate blitter was already disabled.

The problem is that i have found also other 2 or 3 gfx problems with other games, and i tried cycle exact option with them ( no results ) and i have forgot to retry with toki .

I'll report these other problems soon.
