Use UADE, XMPlay does not support that format.
[edit] for some reason I thought UADE WAS available for Windows but I see it isn't, also teh latest version is damn old.

There's supposed to be a Deli player for this format but I can't find it. I don't know if any of these happen to support it but I doubt it, it'd say so if they did

Also no assurances they will work with XMPlay, not all Deli players do.

yes you are right. i should have mentioned - xmplay with delix plugin normally does the trick with suntronics, but fails on this one.

nevermind, i found a custom version of the tune here: cyberpingui.free.fr/oldies/modules/CUST.PSEUDO_OOPS

ps: this amazing tune is also the intro of a game i never heard of, "the sleeping gods". i quick checked hol and the music credits go to steven w. green, while the cracktro states tsm. very interresting

Does XMPlay come with a Deliplayer for that format then? Because I wasn't able to find one anywhere.
This is a cool tune indeed, thanks for pointing it out. I think I heard it before but I can't remember where!

@akira: can't tell if it plays suntronic out of the box, but you may want to give the delix plugin a try, which plays a huge amount of formats, including suntronic. don't know exactly why it refuses to play this very tune though?

@ptyerman: have you tried the suntronic tune with success? which player do you use for it?

I usually just use WinUAE on the PC to play mods with nowadays, DeliPlayer has issues with Windows after XP and I don't like XMPlay much.
It won't play on there or the Amiga either, maybe it's a damaged file.

@solo kazuki: yes, i somehow mixed it up, thank you.

@ptyerman: thanks for confirming the broken tune.

i also miss deliplayer, but xmplay is still the best alternative to me, especially when you want to convert your mods in a speedy manner.

VLC plays a few formats too. I've used that to convert a couple of mods to wav files. It only plays the most common formats though, I think it uses the modplug library's, or something similar.
The reason I don't use XMPlay is all the different formats I have, it won't play most of them. I have a Virtualbox install of Windows 98 that I use Deliplayer on, I let it run in the background while I get on with other things.
Same thing with WinUAE, it tends to use less CPU than Virtualbox too.
It depends on the setup I suppose, I have a Core i7 and 18GB of RAM so I have plenty of horsepower to spare. Then again, I don't do a lot of intensive tasks at the same time which probably helps.
