This perhaps: http://aminet.net/comm/tcp/NullTCP.lha

Never heard of somebody using TCP/IP over nullmodem since then.

nulltcp will disconnect pc from internet and it acts like amiga is a server.
never got it working other way which will be useful

RTFM perhaps ? The problem is mentioned in the readme and it says it's fixed.

And Miami also have built-in support for TCP over null-modem cable. Maybe the problem lies on the pc side.

There one little program who unblock the pc serial and parallel ports (XP only, IIRC). Google for it first.

I used it!
But I connected to a PC running LINUX. It was really easy t oset up a SLIP bridge for my Amiga to run Miami and run basic applications like Lynx and FTP. If I am right, I used the PPP Daemon with some commands.

I remember getting the docs from internet, if you can;t find them, I can;t promise to find them on my back ups but I might give it a try.

Hey Akira, you should make an easy-to-follow guide on how to connect an Amiga to a PC via a null-modem cable and how to set it up to go online!

Sure, it would be like surfing the net at dialup speeds, but that's not so bad! I was on dialup up until last week, sharing between two people, and it wasn't THAT bad. Certainly enough bandwidth for someone to use their Amiga as a cool little IRC/MSN/Email machine, or to play a few online games like Dynamite.

you need to 'hack' the .inf file. IIRC I used some instructions from the internet such as this:
http://bwinton.latte.ca/Palm/ppp.html

I also used socks5 server on windowsxp (rather than ICS)
it worked with AmiTCP
