Elbox EIDE99: No Secondary IDE?

Computer is A1200, no other drives, no power issues, everything fine.

I have a couple of eBay CF-IDE adapters. I have a CF-IDE from AmigaKit (branded) also, it works as master. I have the kind of CF-IDE discussed here in fixing the HD light, a "V.B1". I also have a 44-pin module that connects direct to the 44-pin IDE port on A1200 or on the primary 44-pin connector on the EIDE99. All work fine as master. They work OK as secondary with the 44-pin module as primary.

But none of them, jumpered as either master or slave, can be seen at all when connected to the secondary IDE interface while a single master-jumpered drive is on the primary. Tools/HDToolbox comes up with one drive only every time. I thought maybe primary needs to have slave and master before it will be examined - but same result, no drives seen.

I have the single printed sheet for this device, it talks about installing Allegro CDFS etc. but does not tell me anything about software or other steps that must be taken for this device's secondary port to work.

There's a driver for the thing in elbox' Website that will make the second port work. Has to be loaded at the top of startup-sequence and reboots the machine...

The readme file in that driver archive will/should tell you how it works and what you need to do.
