Antivirus KS1.3
Hi,
Is there any good (detecting lot of viruses) antivirus for Amiga 500 KS1.3 ? Also that could handle both HardDrive and disquette. Thanks, Last edited by LeCaravage; 22 April 2018 at 20:20. |

Virus Z is pretty good. It'll scan Hard Drives and disks. I haven't heard them called diskettes in many years. Heh, heh! It checks everything, and in some cases expects you to have better than basic or average knowledge to understand its reports. It'll also unpack crunched files.
Virus Executer is decent. |

I suppose KS2+ is needed. The only 1.3 compatible found with fast search is http://aminet.net/util/virus/VirusContrl50.lha

Recently I have installed (for the first time!) a HDD with KS 1.3/WB1.3
I came across the same issue of finding an antivirus compatible with WB13 capable of checking both the HDD and FDDs. So far, I tested two of them that I have "zoned" in case this might be of any help: An older version of VirusZ 3.07 from fish disk 902 and VirusChecker v6.45 Last edited by RoC; 14 July 2018 at 13:04. |

Nevertheless, it is good to scan memory and FDDs. |

The old virus_checker is my choice. :-)
http://jope.fi/amiga/virus_checker/vchck658.lha this is the last version that runs on 1.3 |

Good to know.. I am going to check this out ;-) EDIT: I found some suspicious files in the linked lha such as MovieMovieMovies, NowSupportingdreamcharts, AmigaC64movies. Are you sure this is clean? ;-) Last edited by RoC; 23 July 2018 at 18:18. |
