I would do the graphics for a game for a classic amiga if they were at my reach and if the project was funded.
Without prior funding, for the reasons you say, it is very risky. I just read about a dev for a cooking game for iOS, who described how his game, costing 8.000 $ was able to cover the costs in a month after its release, and that that was pretty much it. I don't mean anything with that sketchy example, just that niche markets and large costs can stop one on his tracks. |

I have been burned on a couple Kickstart games, so won't be contributing anymore. I am still waiting on the physical rewards for one to deliver. They got the game finished, but I never did get physical rewards as promised and paid up for that tier.

Any contacts with the concerned parties ? I'm sure I pre-ordered it too.
Hmm, KS campaigns actually rarely fails, but it happens -- especially for such stretch goals (Oh, Pier Solar was initially planned for the Amiga ?!) |

I, as well am all in for new Amiga stuff, but this is platform stuff, Dreamcast doesn't get my attention at all. Amiga, to me, wasn't/isn't about regurgitating stuff. If I want that I'll look to Cell Phones and Windows only.
Are there others interested? I'm sure. To me, Amiga needs more well designed adventures in AGA and RTG. The intro was a bit too "Anime" for me, but...>>BUT<<..I thought it was an intro into something more Interactive (3Dish). Then I saw the main game...Jewel Quest games are Windows...and Cellphones, common user. You make something compelling, "Wasted Dreams", without the "struggle" aspect and I'm IN! I don't enjoy "Platform" games much at all...though there are a _few_...very few. Almost 70 USD...is way, WAYYYYYY too much. |
