Smile Hi there!

Hello everybody,
just arrived to EAB, i'm living in Milan, Italy. Amiga user form 1992.

Currently I'm working on a restoration of a very compromised A3000D (battery leak with corroded paula/denise socket , broken Agnus socket, some capacitor leak, video hybrid exploded, rust everywhere, and so on...).
So, stay tuned

My current collection:

A2000
- GVP 030/32 (oc) + 882/50, 13 Mbyte Ram
- GVP Spectrum 28/24
- A2320 flicker fixer
- A2065 Ethernet card
- SCSI HD + External CD-ROM
- Lyra keyb adapter, 19" Crt, etc.
it's here: http://retronet.altervista.org/retronet/a2000.htm (italian only at the moment, sorry )

A1200
- Apollo 1240 (needs repair)
- Hitachi CF Microdrive 1 Gbyte

A500
- Blizzard Turbo (68k 14 MHz, 8 Mbyte fast Ram)
- A590 (SCSI HD)

A1000
- 880kb floppy

And sorry for my poor english!

Hi ppsh41, and welcome to EAB!

I see you have arrived well-equipped.

And your English is very good, too!

Really hard. This A3000 seems to have remained for years in a cellar, has heavy damage due to moisture. And battery acid gave the final blow.

But, as I usually say, there is no hardware problem that a good soldering iron can not solve.

Currently, the problem is TIME. There are hundreds of desoldering/soldering spot to be done.

That's the spirit!

Just come back and ask if you find anything you're not sure how to deal with.
