Big grin Amiga-style PlayStation platformers?

I'm searching for platformers for PSX with Amiga style/feel. Could someone help?

@s2325: Hermie Hopperhead springs into my mind instantly, as it was just yesterday that I've tried it
A really cool under rater and pretty much unknown 2d platformer from the 1995, feels to me like Mario meets Mr. Nutz style

Not knowing the game, [ Show youtube player ].
Is it me or do those eggs look very much like the yoshi eggs found in Super Mario World?

@s2325: With these games, you can't be mistaken.

Edit: Just thought a bit and:
1) There are some games of the Goemon series on PSX. I don't have played them but I enjoyed those on the SNES so you may find that they have an Amiga feel.

2) There is a conversion of the arcade game Strider 2 on PSX. In case you enjoyed the first on amiga (or arcade) and don't mind when things go a bit over the top, you might find it enjoyable.

Yup, you're prolly right...

The fun part with them is that you can hold them or let them run freely - they will either follow your every step, or help you kill the enemies and gather stuff if you let them on their own!

Just saw that vid too... damn, he used some bad emu configuration or something, on a real PSX the music sounds WAY better!

Hey s2325,

If you're looking for PSX platform games, then check out "Lomax" which was made by Psygnosis and had the same graphic artist as Lionheart and Flink working on it - Henk Nieborg. I love this game, it's so much fun to play!

Not really. Try them, both are great games. You will find an English translated CD image of Ralph on Snesorama or somewhere else.

nah, i think he does mean Heart of Darkness which Eric Chahi worked on

I played this through on my PSX and remember it being far too short. then again, Another World doesnt take me very long these days, but that's far from my first game of it when i play it these days!

I really like the Megaman (or Rockman in Japan) games on the PSX.... although it's more "Nintendo" style than "Amiga" but still great 2D platformers or would be classed as a platform/shooter

Also Strider 2 and Castlevania maybe worth a try on the PSX

You should've mentioned that you play as a Lemming in Lomax.

Btw., you will love Symphony of the Night. Everyone does. With good reason.
It's like Turrican with swords and experience points (and no time limit).
