Ya know, for a second there it sounded like you were planning remakes and are looking for help. At least, that's what the thread title suggests.

If someone is going to program on the Amiga I think it would be better if they wrote a new game.

On Aminet, there is a port of SDL 1.2.0 to Amiga which requires CGX3 or 4 (it says it maybe works on P96 too) and AHI.
It's not just a case of installing AmiSDL and running the games of course You need to recompile the game's source code to an Amiga target. SDL 1.2.0 is quite old and I don't know if any of the commonly used SDL helper libraries have been ported, so you may get compilation problems with missing and changed functions. But it wouldn't be impossible to port SDL games to Amiga, and a lot of the hard work has already been done. |

I've been thinking about remaking certain gba games, such as advance wars, fire emblem and others, but ripping all the graphics and sound is a lot of work, and of course, this material is copyrighted, so it's probably not going to happen, because I wouldn't be able to share the games with other people. Actually doing all the work is not a problem, though!

Get all the old decent teams to go back and re-do all the naff arcade conversions ballsed up by others. Anco's Death Trap engine would be good for a proper Black Tiger conversion I'll end it there or i won't stop typing |

It'd be easier to write a new "Lotus like" engine from scratch that try to patch a new game into the existing one, I think.
But someone prove me wrong eh? |
