Sega Saturn Emulator

Yo Peeps,

After Googling for some time I can't find any concrete info on a decent Sega Saturn Emulator, they all seem to be old (2007/2008) topics.

Anyone know if full speed decent emulation of he Saturn is now possible? I sold my Saturn a little while back as it was faulty and I'm waiting for a new one to arrive from Japan via Surface mail but really want to play some games tonight!

Any help appreciated

Thanks!

Steve.

Hi Steve,

Try SSF. The website is in Japanese, I'm afraid, but it's about the best emulator out there.

What about Yabause? We use it where we can in saturn longplays. Its by no means perfect though. I am assuming you dont mean for the Amiga though

Yes, I had forgotten that one.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/yabause/

However, although both are still under development, I still think SSF might have the edge.

Forget Yabause. SSF is the only decent Saturn Emulator.

Wow SSF runs super slick on my new PC, not sure it would have been on the old one but with the AMD Bulldozer X4 it seems full speed, thanks again!

Some good emulation statistics:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSF_(emulator)

However, anyone heard of Cassini? Apparently, it is meant to be the best emulator at present.

Check this site out for lots of emulators!

Any finally, this site is useful for recommendations and necessary files:

Hope this helps!

Cassini is an old hacked version of Giri Giri, which is long dead by now, I used it way back in 2004-2005.
SSF is much better and is still "alive".
