Repairing A1500 front panel...

Looking for some advice regarding a busted A1500 front panel.

The mounting posts had been snapped at some point in its life, the previous owner looks like they made a valiant attempt using some form of epoxy.

But it is ugly and has not worked that great! I am able to remove all of it, it peels off. So I am thinking about using a good quality superglue to remount them all. Is this a good idea? or is there a better way? anyone who has been in this situation what did you use?

Tia

try some acetone first to see if that bonds the plastic, this works the best, if not you can try superglue. I did that and it works *ok* but can break easily again...

I have some acetone gel used for plastic pipe bonding, I have had mixed results though! Some plastics seem to glue better than others.

I have a broken disk drive bezel made from what appears to be the same plastic!

I am going to try it out, one of the tabs was sheared off, if that glues solid then I will progress to the front panel
