MS-DOS Floppyimages for WinUAEs Bridgeboards
Hi.
First of all: It’s great that the Bridgeboards are now available to WinUAE! Now we can create “ideal systems”, free from any hardware difficulties (the ladies are getting old…) and we can fiddle around with the settings with no regrets! Super! I have a question: Is there a possibility to use those Floppyimage-formats, that were common in the MS-DOS world? Such als *.img? Or do I have to transfer the MS-DOS Floppies to ADF-Files? But how about the MS-DOS Filesystem? All I want is to boot an emulated Bridgeboard from a MS-DOS Floppydisk-Image. In the real hardware-world, some Bridgeboards support 1.44MB Floppydrives. Are there plans to implement those too? Thank you very much! |

Yes, they need to be in dos format (.img, extended adf, ipf image of dos disk, whatever). Disks are read by emulated dos floppy controller.
HD floppies are already supported. Make sure Bridgeboard has HD floppy support and BIOS has correct floppy type selected. EDIT: check these threads: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=76395 http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=80985 Last edited by Toni Wilen; 07 June 2016 at 08:41. |
