David Fox Interview - LucasFilm Games & LucasArts Legend

Dear all

I had the ultimate pleasure of interviewing the legendary David Fox from LucasFilm Games (later to become LucasArts). He covered everything from his earliest games, what it was like working with George Lucas and Ron Gilbert and his most recent work on the great Thimbleweed Park.

He worked on Amiga classics such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.

http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-january-3-2018/

Please have a listen and let me know if you enjoyed the interview.

Kind regards

Adrian

David Fox is such a nice guy, managed to exchange a few words with him at PAX East a couple of years ago when they had Thimbleweed Park there on demo, thanked him for his work and influence. He was very friendly and humble.

Approaching Ron Gilbert, though, is another matter ;p

Simon Phipps - Rick Dangerous Interview

The Rick Dangerous games were huge for me growing up, as were a lot of Core’s games at the time. So it’s a pleasure to introduce the game’s creator and retro gaming superstar Simon Phipps!

Yes indeed

@Arcade_Adriano; I think it's probably best if we merge all your individual threads into one where you can post the latest additions

Seriously wow. He’s best known for his outstanding work on the Turrican games but you’ll have heard his excellent music scores in many, many other places - incuding R-Type, The Secret of Monkey Island, Resident Evil 2 and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. I chatted to the legend that is Chris Huelsbeck in our latest Arcade Attack podcast:

...it would be amazing if you actually used these two threads to post your podcasts / interviews instead of creating seperate threads each time; as agreed
