Best CD32 audio tracks

Hi,

I noticed that most of CD32 versions of games don't have an enhanced music of the original game title music but cheap elevator music in most cases.

But there are some good exceptions. So I'm asking what's your favourite CD track?

My favourites:

- Robocod CD32 main title.
- Fire And Ice CD32 music

I think I quite like the music in Zool 2 but don't have it handy to dig out any specific tracks.

Oh how helpful I am!

Yea it's really sad. I f*ckin hate eurodisco and 90% of the CD32 games got a frikkin rave/disco tracks that didn't have anything to do with the orignal tracks. If they'd just taken the original track, doubled the sampling rate, stero blanced the instruments on the mod and then mixed it down to CD most tracks would have been awesome.

With that said, I think speedball cd32 is one of the few tunes faithful to the original track. Fire and Ice level 1 is also a good reinterpretation. CDTVs Xenon 2 is well.. it's the exact album version just 6 second shorter intro.

Zooltracks, I hate the fact that they didn't keep the guitar.

- Foundation : nice orchestral tracks composed by Melomaniac (Simon Ravn), also composer of some demo music.
- Disposable Hero : great enhanced version of original mods. Really worth to check

Uhm, most CD32 tracks I've listen to is very much like the original but with better quality instruments... donno what you've been listening to.... 90%?, my ass ... from my experience, I would say 20% is too different compared to the original.....

but maybe you meant they DO sound the original, but they have been a bit mixed and now sound like techo/rave?.. like, remixes..

well, I think most of them are great and a good job in spicing them up .

IMHO, Liberation has probably the best CD32 music.

The Chaos Engine has some good tracks too.

I love very much the main track of Jet Strike, the first song for an Amiga game that i ever heard with the voice of a singer! "Drop the bomb, drop the bomb..bomb,bomb,bomb..."

One could march to war to the Liberation med.intro...

I've found a fair few CDDAs on exotica but cannot find this one.
Where is it, I would like to hear it if it is superior to the 300k LHA I have.

The CDDAs from other games I don't particularly like, but that could be that my ear is attuned to the original compositions. But then, Chaos Engine and Speedball 2 should have had thumping in-game tracks, not just repetitive/lazy environmental/crowd sounds...
