Battle Squadron demo

I remember back in the day a demo of Battle Squadron where a text was displayed a bit like in Copper Master.
Is this demo available somewhere?

I found the demo but it is compacted with Bytekiller.
I don’t think that it a was like that when spread is there a version not crunched, maybe the original one ?

So, Battle Squadron had a Intro,.. but they cut it for the Final release.
(well its a bit long, but still; it is very well made for 1989. Some Nice music would have helped, to make it really sweet )

Same as Agony. There was a really cool Intro and Previews in Magazines praised it, for how cool it was.
Even the rolling Demo of Agony is talking about this Intro. But it was sadly never released.

I tried to decrunch it, but then the Intro refused to load.

BUT, i did a Whdload version for the "lost" Battle Squadron intro.

The Disk from above had a Bootblock Virus called "SystemZ 5.4".

Its a "Protector" and is "Harmless".

I wanted to reverse engineer the exe doing it with a binary file (both run at fixed addresses) makes things more complicated.

but all of them are crunched with Bytekiller.

Agony source code was released by its author dunno is the intro is in there though.

If this intro isn't on the original(non cracked) release of Battle Squadron
I would say it's a good candidate for h0ffman_TTE to reimplement the intro and 1-disk it!

I was always curious about the missing Agony Intro....

Magazines praised it and the Rolling Demo talks about how sweet it is

yet, it was never released ....

Amiga version of Battle Squadron has black-white intro. Perhaps for good coder it can be possible to replace this intro with animated colour version:

Perhaps main problem will be integration Ron Klaren music with animated colour intro.
Because no music intro will be not good enough.
But perhaps Ross or h0ffman can made Battle Squadron deluxe edition on 1 disk.

Don't do the whole animated intro, just re-colour the one that shipped. The intro on the demo disk is nice as a historical curiosity but it's dull as dishwater and badly paced. Just lift its graphics and drop them into the retail version.
