Vampire V4 SA - UK
I don't know what general availability is like on these now but if anyone in the UK is still trying to get their hands on one, I have one sat on the kitchen side doing nothing that I'd be willing to let go for what I paid (which I'd have to look up). It's obviously fully working and up and running. I got it in the first batch so it didn't come with a drive or anything, just the bare unit but I'd throw in the IDE to SD adapter that I added. You'd just need to add keyboard, mouse and SD card (or whatever other solution you prefer).
Due to our household being "extra vulnerable" it would have to be collected via someone like DPD since I can't leave the house and I'd want a bank transfer for the money. [EDIT] Cost €613.80 / £534.12 Let's call it £530. Picture added. JTAG cable not included but I didn't really want to remove it just for the pic. RTC clock also not included but they're only a couple quid. I might be tempted to include the keyboard and mouse given they were only £14 and £8 respectively depending on if the recipient wants them. [EDIT2] V4 is now SOLD. Last edited by MartinW; 17 May 2020 at 15:41. |

Depends how easy it is and what's involved, I would prefer someone in the UK to just arrange their own shipping and get it collected. Bear in mind I can't leave the house. I did a very quick random finger in the air based on 1kg, 20cm x 10cm x 5cm and DPD were showing just under £30 but I've no idea how much the insurance on that might be because it wasn't clear how much is included without me going fully into booking it.
Top post updated with pic and price. |

Thanks for the info - ouch! And those measurements / weight aren't even remotely accurate, I've not boxed it or anything yet until I know where it's going. Wouldn't take much extra space / weight to include the mouse but the keyboard might bump it up a bit. [EDIT] And, sorry, I typed that at lunchtime, went to shut the PC down over 12 hours later and realised I'd got distracted and not sent it. |

I use parcel2go.com (have just received a couple of big parcels from UK in Europe). According to them, DPD is one of the more expensive services in this case, so I'd shop around.

If whoever buys it wishes to arrange collection from me then they can use whichever service they wish at whatever price they wish with whatever lack of cover they wish. I used to use Parcel2Go a lot. Their customer service when I needed to use it was shocking and their list of what they will not insure is so long I’m surprised they want to ship anything.
I think the cheapest when I looked just now was around £45 I sure for loss only, not damage. I was so hoping this would just be a simple sale snapped up in no time. I’ll give it the weekend then it may as well just go back in the draw. |

So sorry, I forgot to update the thread to say that it was sold. A buyer came forward in the UK that just had it collected from me.
