Thanks. Glad we've started again now, and looking forward to this one - I'd rather play Arcade Pool though

I guess he copied the text from last round (Stunt Car Racer)...
Congrats for winning the Knockout! edit: How about adding this rule: let's all abstain from playing this lame, unfair gambling game after each level? I mean - come on - the bonus "2x score" is just too much! One can get insane scores by pure luck. Last edited by john4p; 18 January 2009 at 10:11. |

Well spotted - I was drunk
As for the gambling thing - well it's part of the game, I don't really have a problem with it. |

So Superfrog made it
519.800 It's fun playing it again Btw : I took the 'conservative' road and didn't gamble. Most of the time you don't get as many points as if you just collect. |

Great! Superfrog. I was afraid I had to play that dreaded Arcade Pool
Nice to start again. |

Quick reminder: "Savestate training" is not allowed anymore (it's a too big advantage over real Amiga-users who can't do it).

I'm not sure it was ever omitted from the rules but maybe it wasn't totally clear
It's been in there for a while now. Of course I expect no-one in this compo ever indulged in such a practice... |

john is just very cautious now...
There are a few 'unfair' spots in Superfrog, so a bit of legal training is required to get to the later levels |

The first picture is my previous highscore table with my brother's highest score and mine. The second picture is my today's play. In winter's world I had over 4 millions points. Then I gambled and my score got doubled. There is also final battle screen and my new entry to the highscore table (my personal best):
9,320,300 Quick advice to others: playing in Normal and with 3 lives in the first levels it is not worthy to try gamble. You can easily get nothing while collecting the bonus point for each 200k gives you extra life. When you have a lot of extra lives, try gamble and maybe you get lucky with double score. Told ya - it's all about the "2x"-bonus (which sucks).
Maybe the scoring system stops at 9,999,999, so that probably 5 people will "win" this round... |

Without double bonus you can finish the game having around 5 mln points.
