Slowdown when some programs are running

First I would like to thank for a great Amiga emulator which is WinUAE .

I want to help to improve it, my symptoms are following: WinUAE slows and CPU usage is above 100% (from 400% to 800%) when I use this programms
Google Chrome, FlashGet 2. Probably with some other programms too.

I use vesion 1.5b5 but it happens also on 1.5.0.

PC and Windows specs please (or winuaebootlog.txt)

Perhaps caused by infamous PerformanceCounter Windows/bios bug (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895980) but can't really suggest anything before I have more information

above 100% ? What's that supposed to mean !?

Could that be a hidden property of a new AMD CPU to take revenge on Intel's

This will be displayed on the WinUAE window (the status bar) it's actually happened to me on a few occasions, up to 800% or near abouts, depending on what else you are running in windows. It may be strange but I just ignore it 'cause it has only happened once or twice.

Well, then. Read around, there are some posts "we" have written recently (last 30 days) to deal with WinUAE CPU relative greed.

I would close Google apps (and similar) before running the emulator anyway.
