A1200 composite out

Guys I cant seem to get an image from my A1200 Composite port...
I think it might be bust!

I have never used this port. Am I right in thinking it should go to the Yellow AV socket my TV?

Could the port have been disabled by things like my SD/FF or Mediator??

nope, but might be outputting an ntsc signal.

there is a composite (unbuffered) signal on the RGB port, but if you are going that route, its best to go for RGB scart

I actually am spoiled for options... I have RTG from a Voodoo, AGA from a SD/FF and RGB to SCART from amiga 23pin Video....

I am now trying to get Amiga Composite to Voodoo TV in..... So that I can run Native AGA screens through the Voodoo.

Sadly my composite port seems to be an ex port....

Yes. I think it is screwed...

What sort of things can go wrong to screw this port? Can I fix it...?

firstly have you tried this on a television ?

it may well be the card port.....

however if the port is damaged depending on where the damage is and type, solder fault being the most simple and encoder fault being the worst... but if you are handy at soldering and a have a few spare parts it should be simple.

arguably, if you wanted to there is enough electronics there to actualy make your own SVideo out. you would have to remove the RF unit though...

yes Comp Out from A1200 shows nothing on TV.
AV in on Voodoo works perfect with my Camcorder.

Next time I have the tower out for a tweak I will look at the Comp port. Until then everything else is working perfectly - I dont wanna upset the whole apple cart over a port that I dont desperately need....
