Terrible Fire Accelerators
Firmwares aren't an "up to" thing. They put a delay in place to cross the clock domain after N cycles of the fast clock. So expect things to be very picky about clock speeds. I'm running everything at the limit of performance
EDIT this is why putting a replaceable crystal on the board is stupid. We can do that for the A1200 cards |

I had a chat about the alliance memory vs ISSI today with some EE's
We are wondering if the ISSI chips are really 1024K x 8 rebadged as 512K x 8 which expect the line A21 is connected to to float high because the lower bank didnt pass the QC tests. Just a theory but its possible. |

I have a Rev 2 with ISSI RAM, which I presume doesn't have A21 connected. It doesn't fail systest like Rev 3 but the board is still just as unstable with this RAM. [Ed] The docs do say NC, would suck if they had to go high just to function normally. Last edited by EzdineG; 12 August 2017 at 23:16. |

Get well soon, plasmab!
I think I have solved the stability issues with my TF530 now. Some FPU made trouble... some CF made trouble... and I have to use your first Bus-jed with 40MHz for my 33MHz crystal and your latest RAM-jed. I get illegal instruction crashes when using the 33MHz firmware and the latest Bus-jeds don't work at all. So I had some timing issues. The cards work much better now! Sometimes the CF is not detected at first start. I get a kickstart screen then. But after a reset it boots. Is there a reliable source for FPUs? Most of my china FPUs are fakes I think... |

Hello Plasma, I dare say you have already tried this so forgive me in advance have you tried the card / cards in a full 16x slot, or is the blue screen still happening with this so called work around. Sorry again if you have already tried.

Elgato support told me their units would work but when it arrive (bought direct from them) it didnt. Epically fecked off with AM4/Ryzen as a platform... i wanna throw this PC out the window. |

Plasmab get well soon, & I hope the AM4 Ryzen / chipset/ capture card problems get resolved soon, do not want to sound selfish here and off topic but missing the streams already.

Ahh, yes I see your post now I was looking at the getting a Ryzen with a B350 chipset, having second thoughts now, but maybe my USB capture device might be more compatible. Hope you feel better soon. :
