Strange Steam Issue

OK, so within the past 30 days I've purchased a number of games and dlc from Steam.

What I've start noticing within the past few days are that some of these purchases are not being tagged as IN Library.

I was thinking it was the browser as this is where I first noticed it from, under Chrome with the Enchanced Steam plugin.

Exited and restarted Chrome, got the same results, most of the games + dlc are tagged so when using the Enhanced Steam plugin I can filter games I already own, it is filtering most of these but some are not being tagged and hence filtered.

So I toggled with the same results, the same games are not being tagged properly by Steam, I get the same results under the Steam Client as well so this has to be on the Steam side of things.

Anybody else noticed this ?

I would gander most don't due to the size of my Library, oh these First World Problems

Delete one of the problem games and re-download it again, see if gets tagged as in your library then

I downloaded a freebe a few days ago on steam,
No more room in Hell.
It shows up in the Library, try and see if its only purchased games that are affected too.
Good luck..

I will try that with one of the games, however many of them that show up this way are purchased but not installed, so I will have to dig if any of them that don't show properly tagged are even installed.

So far it's only been purchased games, none of the FREE games/apps are showing up this way.

That is the weird part, but I'm pretty sure its on the steam side as the tags are not showing properly under the Steam Client and under a web browser.

I did some further checking and found that both the Steam Client and my web browsers show both purchased and free games not tagged properly, but it's only doing this for titles released within the past 30 days or so.

This means older free and purchased games are showing the proper tags, this is strange but pretty sure it's on the Steam side of things

I've noticed this with some games.

For example if I do a search in the store on Arma, Arma 2 does not have the symbol showing it is in my library while everything else I own does. However, If I go to the store page it says it is in my library.

I'm sure I've had the same thing happen with some other games as well.

Put your computers date forward 1 month and see if they become tagged

Set up a VM and test in that environment, you only need to install steam and test with one game!!

That's because you have a non-default region-specific version. Fallout Vegas often acts the same.

My region is setup for US or NA whichever is appropriate as I see all the US download servers to choose from.

I've been watching this issue since I posted about it and now some of the games that were not tagged are now tagged as IN Library, both FREE and Purchased games.

So I don't think this is a date issue but rather something going on with the Steam side of things.

You mean like steam having to trawl through over 10,000 games then saying "Aw Fuck It"

Looks like with the latest Steam Service restart on Tuesday seems to have fixed my tagging issues, I figured this would happen
