I think one of the recent (as in inside a year) Amiga Future Magazines Retrospective artitcles (by Trevor Dickinson) sidementioned one company having released something like that. Just cant remember which it was. One of the companies who was there pretty much at Amigas beginning. They made some Amiga game making kit thing which had several modules or something and one of them perhaps was text adventure. But not sure. perhaps someone can remember better.

It's more focused on graphics then text but you could take a look at Talespin
edit: and looking through HOL there's also Hatrack II and Visionary Interactive Editor Last edited by Belgarath; 06 May 2015 at 20:26. |

Z-Code files can be generated using a variety of tools and they can be run on whatever electronic device you can imagine. Basically, it's a simplified programming language dedicated to writing text adventures. As for graphics support: graphics are supported - but I have no idea how easy or hard that is to pull off, or how good they look on different platforms. |

Hi,
You could try experimenting with AMOS. I don't think it would be that hard to do in that once you got to grips with it. |

ADMS is the tool you need! It has a misleading title (Amiga Dungeon Mastering System) but it's a complete programming language for making text adventure games, not RPGs. I had started working on a game some 20 years ago, which eventually evolved into my graphic adventure Other Worlds.
Just to give you an idea of the language syntax: I'm afraid it's text only though, so no option for adding pictures. |
