Omar Sharif on Bridge (U.S. Release of Omar Sharif's Bridge): original ADF + raw dump
G'day EAB peeps!
Tonight I bring you Omar Sharif on Bridge (the U.S. release of Omar Sharif's Bridge), which was missing from HOL until about an hour ago! This one's for the card sharks amongst you (and all the Omar Sharif fanbois out there, haha!) As usual, it's been sitting in the spare room for the last few years......but I didn't realise until recently when I booted it up that it has a different titlescreen. The box cover also claims that it has a "new improved bidding & playing algorithm", so it may actually be a slightly enhanced update of the UK version also. Omar Sharif on Bridge (Interplay) ------> http://hol.abime.net/6159 <------ (new HOL entry) Anyway, I've plonked an ADF and a raw dump of my original copy in the Zone. Neither are available in TOSEC or anywhere else on the net AFAIK. Many thanks go to Denis for verifying the raw dump so quickly! Enjoy!! Last edited by DrBong; 02 December 2016 at 20:01. |

Thanks for yet another rarity.
Perhaps a WHD treatment could take care of the NTSC issue in PAL land. |

Good ole Retroplay.....how did I know you'd be the first to respond to my thread! You're welcome my friend!
Edit: BTW I haven't forgotten about the old JST HD patched games thread......I will get back to your list of requests when I get some more time (hopefully the Christmas/New Year period!). Quote:
Even on my A1200 I had to install a bootblock on a copy I made of the game disk to boot into NTSC + comment out the PAL check in the s-s and boot into NTSC from the early startup menu. Without booting into NTSC from the startup menu, the game loader detected my A1200 as a PAL system and refused to go any further! Suffice to say, it was really challenging to take screenshots of this game on real Amiga hardware (in this case, my A1200 rather than my preferred option of using the A500 + Action Replay). Luckily, Omar Sharif on Bridge multitasks, so I was able to use a software screengrabber (QuickGrab - simply the best!) for the HOL screenshots. Last edited by DrBong; 02 December 2016 at 23:11. |

Great thank you.
TBH it's been quite a while since I looked at any HD/JST games, I still have the archives Frog kindly provided to look at too. |
