@FOL

Do you run IDEfix before the CD32 Emulator program loads.. ?
I tried to install IDEfix on my system but it did have some problems. So I removed it.
The point is I don't want to install the CD32 Emulator on my hard drive, I prefer floppy disk booting it. So, can I use atapi.device for my CD rom drive without running IDEfix ?
If not, could I make a CD32 Emulator boot floppy which runs IDEfix first ? Guess it will have trouble to have enough save space .. :-)

@OldBOy

Many thanks for the information. However, I did know 68040 and 68060 may have some kind of problems. I'll have to try the MuLib package. (if all those files will fit on my boot floppy :-D )

Hey, any 68040/68060 users there trying to play some CD32 games ?

You dont need to run IDEFIX, just put atapi.device and CD0 from dosdrivers drawer on to the floppy in same drawers.

I just bought a Boomerang CD32 Pad, to play those CD32 games I have. I'm having srange kind of problems with quite a many CD32 game. Typically, I boot from the Emulator floppy and the game loads ok. It seems to work, but it freezes/hangs up when loading a new level, for example. This happens with Zool 2 , for example. The game loads ok and seems to work perfectly, I complete first stage 1.1, Then, after pressing fire on "get ready area 1.2" screen, the screen turns black and nothing happens. I guess the CD rom drive should "spin up" at that moment; could this be a hardware issue ..?! :-o
As I mentioned, I have found some kind of symmetry/similarity on these game freezings, I think it does to have something with the CD rom drive "ignition". :-o
I 'm using A4000D with os 3.9 installed, and have an LG CDRW drive. It's connected to the internal IDE bus, as is my hardrive. I'm wondering if I'd be better off with a SCSI CD drive, regarding CD32 emulation..?! Any ideas /experiences ??! :-)

Ok, now I got Zool 2 to work, for a single game ;-)
That is, I played succesfully to stage 1.3 (Paper plains?!), and after Highscore table
the screen became black and everything freezed, expect for the cd audio track.... :-D
Btw, Zool 1 seemed to work ok.
Chaos Engine and Speedball 2 not working, heeelpp! :-D (someone there with good tips?)

Hi,

Sorry to hijack the htread but I'm having similar issues getting the CD32 boot floppy from Surf Squirrel to work. I've created the disk and pointed CD0 to my CD drive (I think) but the CD32Boot disk just loads into wb...How do I actually play CD32 disks with it?

Thanks,

Craig
