Getting an A1200

It is an Escom A1200, with CF as Hdd. Should I be concerned about its floppy drive's incompatibility with some games? I have an A600HD and for some reason, when I convert my .ADF games/demos into real Amiga floppy diskettes, most often that not, it can not play them back, or I get weird graphical glitches (mostly in demos). I hope that this A1200 can play them back with no issues. My WinUAE can play these same games/demos with no issue, so I know that they are not corrupted files.

Also is there a list of A1200 non-compatible games (A500 games that that are not compatible with A1200)?

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

hi you can get a program called relokick which boots to a 1.3 rom from floppy or use whdload which you load games from your harddrive see here http://www.whdload.de/

if you have a HD and a way to getting files from your PC to Amiga, then WHDLoad is well worth a look at... plus a ram expanion say 4mb

i use WHDLoad alot!

Using floppies is such a pain the butt, I only use them when I really have to (eg loading original drivers).

WHDLOAD is the main reason I even use an Amiga in 2011, it really does makes that much difference.

1200 + HD + ACA + IndivisionAGA == a nice setup

No, because it is very easy to revert the motherboard modifications and add the ready signal to the floppy drive.

Are you running the games and demos with an emulation setup that mimics the A600? If not, then you can't really say whether they'd run glitch free on the real machine.
