Amiga 2000 HD: Time to resurrect :)

Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker

So I think its time I resurrect my Amiga 2000 HD.

I've done some searching and there seems to be various paths to take and I'm not sure whats the latest methods.

The Amiga 2000HD that I have came with an RLL/MFM 20MB Rodime HD which died and I replaced with a Seagate 80MB drive and that eventually went.

I do have a GVP SCSI+RAM Expansion card that I bought years later but never installed it.

So what is the most economical way to get my Amiga2000HD Back alive and running off of a CF or SD Card?

im not sure that having a scsi bridge to cf card can be called economical, but surely you can find a scsi drive.

Get one of the SCSI card readers from MechWare http://a4000t.com/store/index.php?ma...roducts_id=184 You can get it a little cheaper without the CF card, but in my experience, he is cheaper than anyone with these. I have an A2000 and an A500 both running these. The A2000 is using an A2091 controller, and the A500 is using a GVP controller. Both work great. And the cool thing is, if you have a PC with a CF reader, you can build everything using WinUAE, and even use it to transfer files to/from the Amiga.

Ebay also has a number of SCSI drives available 50 pin etc. As for the card reader go for it. It makes file transfer a snap.
