Ripping Sprites help....

Hi guys!

Hope you are well. I have been trying to rip the sprites from one of my favourite amiga games, Bounce + Blast. And also I want to try and get the level maps.

I have tried ripping the Graphics from the game using GFXRip but am having immense difficulty trying to find the palette and the right number of bitplanes

Here is a link to the ADF with it on: http://www.compulzion.co.uk/ASI030.ADF

In GFXRip if you set the following you can see all the sprites are aligned:

Bounce + Blast

Off: 61170
Siz: x -32
y - 224
Bit: 1
Vis.X: 23
Y: 2

But I can't seem to find the right colours/palette. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking at the image there it looks to me like 4 bitplanes used for the "sprites", with the 5th used as a blitter mask perhaps?
Sorry, I can't help with the colours part as I have never learned how to do that bit.

Regards,

Thank you for your help, the sprites do look their most realistic with four bitplanes but still the colours are way off.

Really appreciate the advice!

There is a new AmiGfx Ripper in development which may help solve such difficulties.

One of your favorite games?

This is another game that would be good if there were music.

I played through all 12 levels: [ Show youtube player ]

I've added the game to the HOL - http://hol.abime.net/5912

Also, here is a zip of the maps for the 12 levels: Bounce 'n' Blast Maps
