First, thank you for the contributions .
Images are usually processed very quickly. At worse one week. Things depend on how many people involved with HOL are available. Right now is not the very best time since I am moving and several other members are very busy with real life (some of them don't post much on the forums but are usually very busy with HOL in the background) or other projects. There are some guidelines that can help images to be processed faster: http://hol.abime.net/hol_faq.php?section=contributions For instance, if you have already a file with the correct size and named in a friendly way (for instance "Outrun box front.jpg") it becomes just a matter of double checking for any issues that the scanner would have missed. Then we just need to upload and organize correctly. Manuals are another matter. Depending on how they have be scanned, they may need to be split, reorganized, sometimes remove useless parts (like staple marks). Then there is a trade-off to make between the manual file size and the degree of optimization (size reduction but risks of a loss of quality). This takes several tries usually (at least for me). Finally, you can save us and yourself some time by checking if some scans are needed or not. For instance, regarding your contributions for Hybris, the disk scan and the manual were needed. On the other hand, we already have a scan of the box. And from a quick look I don't see any difference that would justify replacing the current one with your scan. If you have seen an issue with the current one, please tell me and then I'll act accordingly. Sometimes there are indeed some subtle differences or issues with the scans already in place. So I cannot tell you "hey don't scan something that we already have". But know that in such a case it will take a bit more time to be processed as we have to check if there is need for a replacement or not. |

The 4 entries are created, DBS uploaded and most scans for Structure Spelling uploaded. Still need to take of the manual (as well as some others previously contributed and that nobody apparently was enthusiastic enough to deal with while I was moving )
I have filled the entries the best I could based on the info I had: DBS, disk listing in the Zone!, other entries from the series. However, I have left some elements like the number of players to be modified later. No doubt that the TOSEC people who will check the disk scan thoroughly by heavy gameplay testing, will be more relevant to fill those parts I would have happily tested the games tonight but I guess that I have already educated myself enough for one day |

scans for the other three 10 out of 10 titles are on ftp now
also scans for another new one unsure about name, Box and manual says Sooty's Fun With Numbers on disk is written Sooty Fun with Numbers and title screen says Sooty and Sweep's Fun with Numbers edit: that reminded me that http://hol.abime.net/3422 only says Thomas The Tank Engine, while on box and disk is written Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends ?? made quick scans on ftp also now Last edited by Tweeky; 12 September 2012 at 19:33. |

Thanks for those various contributions.
Regarding Thomas, it seems that the Friends part was also omitted from most other versions title screen: http://www.mobygames.com/game/thomas...ds/screenshots I only spotted the Genesis version having it. Perhaps it was a late change decided when most versions were produced? . If someone has some time and wants to check the earliest release dates for each platform... Regarding Sooty, same thing, it seems like the other versions (at least CPC and ZX) have the same discrepancy: http://www.mobygames.com/game/sootys...rs/screenshots |
