Upgrading from 2.0.1

Hi,

I needed to upgrade from WinUAE 2.0.1 because the write-protect option doesn't seem to be working.
However all of the recent versions don't work for me, with the following errors:

2.1.0 - The procedure entry point DecodePointer could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
2.2.0 - Not a valid win32 application
2.3.0.0 - Not a valid win32 application

I believe I have DirectX10 installed (I say believe, because I can't find anywhere I can look it up to confirm it).
I am running Windows 2K SP4 on a Dell Lattitude C610, with Pentium IIIm processor @ 1 GHz.

Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong, or should I consider downloading an earlier version of WinUAE?
(I previously had 1.4.0 and 1.4.1 - the files have been deleted, but I believe I still have the Zips or installer files for each of them).

Regards,

run dxdiag from the start menu, that'll tell you the DirectX version.

Windows 2000 is not supported anymore. New MS development tools don't anymore create Windows 2000 compatible executables..

Thanks. It turns out I'm using DirectX 9.0c.
