The statistics screen in the area of enemies killed and shots fired shows only the number of enemies killed in the level you died. It does not show the overall number of enemies killed. You can easily check it in the first world after two levels. Complete the first level, proceed to level two and get killed.

To which world did you manage to get? My last score is from the fourth world, your's probably from the beginning of the third one or the end of the second (depending how good you are).

Anyone having graphical issues on the map screen? Where my spaceship is there is a big black rectangle that moves up and down when I switch between levels 1-3 and 4-6 at the top-left of the screen.
Other than that, no other issues so far...

NB: As usual, I'm using the ADF's.

Here's my best score after a few goes. I was never that brilliant at Asteroids so I'm going to have to get alot of practice in.

@lonewolf I'm with you there..

Mailman!! Incredible scoring well done
I get absolutely destroyed in world 2.. can't even get close to my previous score.
Any tips for this world? Which is a better weapon, the triple shot or bouncer?
Both weapons fully upgraded don't feel powerful enough.. I need an atomic bomb or something

I love the comments on the game over screens. "Unable to function" etc.

You need to practice a lot in order to figure out the most suitable order of levels which you are going to take so you would have a chance to upgrade the weapon. It is pointless to take the last level of the world as the one in which you collect a new weapon. My strategy is to collect a new weapon in the first level of a new world. It gives me time to upgrade it. In world 2 I would recommend level 9 (top right corner) or level 12 (bottom right corner) as a start - when you deal with the stellar blades, you'll get the weapon transport that carries Plasma weapon. You should upgrade it ASAP.

In world 1 upgrade to maximum 3-way weapon (it is even possible in the first level) and then collect Bouncer and upgrade it to maximum, so you could kill the guardian of the world with it.

In world 2 Bouncer is the best option until you have Plasma in usable form (4/6 is enough).

Some general tips:

1. Do not destroy all the meteors, especially when you have two or three yellow ones on the screen. There will be too much crowd on the screen which will be difficult to handle.
2. In world 1 start with level 2, upgrade 3-way to maximum and head to level 5 in order to get Bouncer and start upgrading it.
3. World 3 start from level 13, where you obtain Flamer.
4. Before starting level 17 make sure you have maximum level of shield and energy plus Plasma and Bouncer fully upgraded. Otherwise it will be very tricky to get through this in a given amount of time.

Hi janni, welcome to the competition! Hopefully you will stick around and enjoy what we have to offer in the coming months. Don't forget to post a vote on the voting thread for the next round if you would like to have a say in what we play after this
