AmiMSN was made in AREXX and is most useful when used with an IRC client, which it can use as its GUI since it has none of its own. This way you can stay in contact with your MSN friends without having to switch from AmIRC or WookieChat. It can also be run from CLI, so is probably the only MSN client you can run on a 1MB Amiga.

If you would like to try a full GUI-operated MSN client for classic Amigas, there's SabreMSN as well, available here - http://wookiechat.amigarevolution.com

Humm SabreMSN gives me an error asking for NLIST 101 when I use the 102 version. I'll install the old version.

Hi Koney. Have a read through this thread - http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=46927 and see if any of this helps get SabreMSN running on your Amiga.

If you're trying to get AmiMSN to work, you need a TCP stack (obviously) and need to have RexxMast running. It should run from CLI then, and hopefully provide a way to chat to your MSN buddies on a basic Amiga.

Soo.. I log in to abime.net today and I see this thread! Why doesn't anybody tell me when a new thread is made about AmiMSN :-P

I'm making progress on file transfers with MSNP2P v1 / MSNSLP. Not the very latest protocol, but it's compatible with all good MSN clients, Pidgin, Emesene, aMSN, Windows Live Messenger, etc..

I'd say sometime in October you can expect AmiMSN to be able to send (and hopefully receive too) files to all major MSN clients.

Check amigans.net and the SabreMSN threads for updates. Looks like i'll get it done before jahc. I'm figuring out how it all works and providing docs for him.

Anyone who wants the docs (for some reason), just ask me.. best to e-mail me at the address on the AmiMSN website.
