And how many females have really signed up to EAB?

Every female that has signed up, caused an influx in friendship requests that closed the board for 2 hours

I sent friendship request to Cammy thought she was man with girls avatar
I usually send requests to anyone I deal on OT with or people I know a little from their posts in Amiga section.

My wife occasionally suggests I have a boot sale when she inspects my "office". I always ask: Why, when I haven't got any boots?

She doesn't visit my "office" so often these days!

My wife has a typically feminine view of my retro-habit:

She tolerates it as a sad but amusing character flaw.

The 'study' is a useful place to dump everything she doesn't immediately recognise as hers.

Her 'addiction' to Manic Miner and the forum she mods are in no way similar to my sad hobby.

No matter what your interests are, you can't be "sad" if you're happy.

My Missus enjoys relaxing, watching me "faffing" on PC which is usually running WinUAE or CCS64. It keeps me off the streets.

I, like most of you am blessed with a very tolerant wife..

Oddly enough my retro obsession was started a few years ago by my now almost 11 yo son... He was very much into Sonic the Hedgehog for some reason, so I scoured ebay for all Sonic games, which led me to buy a 2nd hand Dreamcast, which eventually led me to buy 4 neo geo pockets which somehow led me to buy a stand up arcade machine which somehow led me to get the old 1200 & 500 out of the garage which then of course led me to buy an A2000 which then led me to buy another A500 for some reason and then an A3000, a CD32 and an A1000..
Somewhere in between I bought a C64 to replace my original one I can't seem to find anywhere and I've just been authorized to buy an A4000 which is on it's way even as I type... ( This last was for my B'day.... in April)

So:

A) It's all my son's fault ( who now couldn't care less about Sonic and spends all his time on bloomin Runescape)
&
B) I have a very, very tolerant wife who must love me 'coz otherwise I have no idea why she'd put up with my 'hobby'.... In fairness though, when we first met ( 21 years ago) I was running a BBS and one Xmas before we got married I bought her an A500 pack so I think she went into this with her eyes open

You're one luck man mate! I tried to get my wife into the retro gaming stuff, but she cant play a thing 'cause of the lack of hand eye coordination

So now she thinks I'm mad, and I should spend less time retro gaming/wallpaper creating etc etc and more time with her. If I did that, I would never of created the Fairlight logo in hi-res or found EAB.

My wife is now a bit happier that I`m having time off to do a bit of decorating in the house, but get this - I told her three days ago that I was waiting for my keycode email to arrive from WHDLoad, and to be careful what she was deleting ( E.mail had to go to her AOL account because of PAYPAL ) - Anyway, I`ve just found it in the DELETED ITEMS FOLDER !!!!
That`s it, wallpaper scraper down & back to the games den !!
( I said I`ll let her off if she buys me one of those Commodore mugs from ebay )
P.S - I`ve told her about my thread & that all the other wives & girlfriends are tolerant, understanding and love their husbands having this nice hobby !!

Have you tried some slow-paced games, i.e. some strategy or similar games?
For instance, a two-player Settlers game could be a good opportunity (+ the 'cute' graphics/animation should be in favor of the game).

I know I'm boasting now but I forgot to mention, Mrs Brakus loves Zool and Magic Pockets!
